In the South of England the history and culture continues. There is Kent with various medieval cathedrals, castles and remains. Canterbury is also known as an area to shop for antiques.

Stonhenge is a cultural icon for England. You can find it in the north of Salisbury. The stones arranged in a circle have been standing there for almost 5000 years. There are also other monuments and prehistoric tombs in this area.

Further south is Dorset, which is a really picturesque area with quiet villages and old lanes.
